Learning, knowledge, discovery… while playing with art.
A cycle of events, running on a three-month schedule, that involves the museums of Pietrasanta in a programme full of initiatives. “Little Athens” returns with a calendar of activities and laboratories dedicated to the little ones and their families.
An initiative by the Municipality of Pietrasanta, Cultural Institutes, the Department of Public Education and Fondazione Versiliana. Artistic coordination by Massimiliano Simoni. In collaboration with Itinera and Coopculture in the realm of the activities promoted by the S.T.ART Committee.
Calendar for October – December 2016
YOGART: with Valentina Benassi (organisation manager of “Versiliana dei Piccoli”). Discovering simple meditation techniques through play. Learning to relax, to better understand one’s body and emotions, to breathe properly and manage anxiety and tensions. From 18 October to 28 December. Biblioteca Comunale (Municipal Library) – Sezione ragazzi (Youth section). Reservations are required.
NATI PER LEGGERE (Born to read): readings in the library by the readers part of the “Volontari Versilia” group. 15 October, 19 November and 10 December. Biblioteca Comunale – Sezione Ragazzi.
THE FIRST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH: tours and games at the Museo dei Bozzetti “Pierluigi Gherardi” Maquettes Museum to discover how a sculpture is born. Sunday 6 November and Sunday 4 December. Reservations are optional.
Novelties 2016
THE SECOND SUNDAY OF THE MONTH: MuSA, extraordinary opening and guided tour of the museum of the Future to discover the world of art in a spectacular and interactive way. Reservations are required for the guided tour. Opening hours 15: 30-18: 30. Start guided tour 15:30, from 16:30 free visit.
IL GIOCO DELL’ARTE – INCONTRO CON L’ARTISTA (The game of art – Meeting with the artist). Piero Giannoni and the creation of a mosaic. Saturday 26 November. Biblioteca Comunale – Sezione ragazzi. Reservations are required.
E’ DOMENICA, LA BIBLIOTECA RACCONTA (It’s Sunday, the Library tells us stories): animated readings by “La Noce a tre canti” Cultural Association. Sunday 30 October, Sunday 20 November, Sunday 18 December. Venue: Sala dell’Annunziata – Chiostro S. Agostino. Reservations are required.
The activities planned – some free of charge and others for a fee – are scheduled on a quarterly basis. The venues involved are the Sezione Ragazzi of the Biblioteca Comunale, the Museo dei Bozzetti in the Chiostro di Sant’Agostino, the “Bozzetti in vetrina” detatched venue in Palazzo Panichi and the MuSA.
