“In Oltre” (“In and Beyond”)
Following the success of her first collection of poems entitled “In fine”, the writer from Pietrasanta Ilaria Cipriani presents her new work at MuSA
Published by Giovane Holden in Viareggio, “In Oltre” is the second work by Ilaria Cipriani:
… a collection of different poems connected by portions of prose that integrate them in an existential journey metaphorically represented by a rose. The woman – true protagonist of the story – re-travels the main stages of her existence “moving” from the roots to the corolla of this plant, between thorns, velvety caresses and intricate doubts of branches and leaves… (as the writer herself tells us)
A journey that begins in the painful “in”, and concludes in the “beyond” (oltre), in the hopes of attaining a more favourable and generous condition of life.
In the course of the evening the writer will read some poems, alternated by dialogue and comments on the themes treated in the book with Giacomo Crott and Fabrizio Palla, who will entertain the audience with musical improvisations. The Emox Balletto, dance company directed by Beatrice Paoleschi will also intervene with three incisive dance comments.
The woman and the rose find in the works and sculptures of artist Giovanni Balderi, present in the book with several original drawings interpreting the poems and the role of undisputed, protagonists of marble. The MuSA screen will propose a collage of the many marble roses produced by the artist, as well as a film footage created by the sculptor featuring bodies of women that he himself sculpted.
