Renzo Maggi
Renzo Maggi was born in Seravezza in 1944. He obtained his diploma of Maestro d’Arte in 1961 at the Stagio Stagi Institute of Pietrasanta, and started his apprenticeship under the guide of the sculptor Leonida Parma. After a short period in Milan, he moved to Switzerland where he concentrated mainly on sculpture and painting. During these years, he was also editor of a fortnightly periodical of politics and culture in Italian. In 1992 he returned to Italy.
He carried out many public and private works. Renzo Maggi’s works are on permanent exhibition in the Open One Gallery of Pietrasanta. He works with Ken’s Art Gallery in Florence and with Proposte di Arte Contemporanea and La Meridiana Galleries in Pietrasanta where his works are displayed. Renzo Maggi’s works are included in public and private collections in Europe, USA, Canada and Australia.
